Middle School Age After School with Kelly Oh - Tuesdays 4:00 - 6:00
For this 8-week session, teacher Kelly Oh will integrate painting, sculpture, and animation with the drawing, which is the big focus of the middle school class. Students will use oil pastel to explore color theory, texture through observational drawing, and painting using both imagination and observation.

Cost: $400 includes the cost of all art supplies
Dates: 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/25.
Where: The Painting School, 65 Woodhull Street, Brooklyn

Instructor’s Bio
Kelly Oh has been an active member in the arts education world in New York City since 2009. Working with a diverse population, she has taught youths as a high school art teacher in NYC public schools, such as Brooklyn Latin School and Millennium Brooklyn High School, and a teaching-artist in community-based cultural organizations. Her experiences include teaching foundational art courses focused around technical and conceptual skills building, IB Visual Arts, Art History, portfolio prep for both middle school and high school students. She is not only interested in helping her students develop their technical skills but also finding personal connection and joy in making art. Many of her students have been accepted to competitive art high schools in NYC and colleges across the US. Currently, she teaches at Pratt Institute. She is a tireless advocate for stronger arts programs for youths and believes that art should be relevant and accessible to individuals of all age groups from all different backgrounds.
