Alice Neel never posed her subjects, she tried to capture them in their signature poses instead. For this workshop you will bring in a photo of somebody you love that captures them in the physical position that you most connect with them.

We will paint that person in Neel’s style with a blue or black outline, a spontaneous approach to the paint application, and with less concern for completely filling our canvas than painting an artwork with a lot of life.

This class is appropriate for people with a little experience mixing paints.
