THE PAINTING SCHOOL

Since 2017 The Painting School has offered art classes to children and adults in Brooklyn and the Catskills.

In our sunny, two-story Carroll Gardens studio (at 65 Woodhull Street) we offer classes & workshops, host paint & sips, parties, art exhibits, live models & more!

The Painting School community is full of fun people who are serious about art.

There is nothing casual about us. Making great art & helping other people make great art is our very serious mission

We are dedicated to building community around art & helping people lead more meaningful lives with art at the center.

While we are focused on helping people establish a lifelong painting practice, we offer classes and workshops in a wide range of mediums and art forms.

Kids and adults have a great time while growing their skill set, making friends, building creative confidence, creating great art and learning about art history and contemporary art.

We offer group classes, private lessons, professional development workshops and community-based classes for artists of all ages, from seniors to kids.

We have led art classes and workshops in partnership with the Bryant Park Corporation, Clinique, NYC Cultural Affairs, The Ned, the Friend of Firefighters, Powell Communications, Red Hook Art Project, South Dakota Humanities Council, Wallkill River Center for the Arts, Main Street Arts, the Red Hook Library and more.
